Get your home ready for Summer!

Summer is soon here! The weather is warm and the sun is shining. We know you can’t wait to spend those long summer days outside. Get your home ready for summer with these tips below.

Check your cooling system

Consider having your air conditioner serviced so when the temperatures start climbing you’re not stuck without air conditioning. Be sure to dust the ceiling fans as well before turning them on and make sure they are working properly.

Windows and Doors

Clean the windows and be sure to wipe them down from the inside and outside. Change storm doors to screens for when you need some fresh air.

Summer BBQ on the Grill

Empty your charcoal grill and wipe away any dust or residue. Clean both the outside and inside and make sure to let your grill dry off before using it next. For gas grills, close the lid, turn the heat up high and let the grill cook for about half an hour. When the grill is cool, use a grill brush to clean any dirt off.

Inspect and repair your Deck

Inspect the wood for any deck rot and repair if need be. Hammer in any loose nails and repair any broken boards. Check if your deck needs to be resealed by pouring water on it. If the water beads into little puddles, you’re good. Sealing your deck prevents rot and the elements decreasing the quality of your deck.
