Burkentine Builders and Inch & Co. are excited to announce their new townhome and apartment rental complex opening in the borough of Marietta, PA.

The Riverside Foundry complex is nestled on the banks of the historic Susquehanna river town which is famous for its many foundries that used to operate in Marietta. The general foremen, usually called the ‘founder,’ produced castings including cast iron cookware, glue pots, lavatory basins and much more.

The site for the Riverside Foundry community was once home to York Barbell’s Foundry before the building burned down during the fire in 1955. With no insurance to cover the losses, Hoffman deemed the Foundry a complete loss from the fire. Recently, weights and barbells were found onsite that once held up the walls to the historic property. These historic pieces will be incorporated into the complex.

Riverside Foundry features 12, 3-story townhomes as well as 172 1-story apartments for lease. There will be garages for rent, 1-3 beds, 1-2 baths, laundry in each apartment, a club house with a boutique workout facility and a large common area available to renters.

This rental community is perfect for growing families or those empty nesters looking to downsize their home and have someone else take care of the groundskeeping. Our goal on this project is for people in the area who want a small-town, historic feel with quick access to major routes for an easy commute to area businesses and attractions.

In the heart of a unique area, this river town offers amazing views of the Susquehanna River. With the river trail access, residents will be able to enjoy walking and biking, fishing or bird watching and quaint shops and restaurants. This rental complex offers a lovely place to live, work, hike, kayak, eat and play.

In October, Burkentine and Inch & Co. broke ground and the complex is slated to open summer of 2020. Customers are able to start pre-leasing units in February of 2020.
